Our Projects
Our projects are carefully selected by our team to ensure we reach some of the at-risk children of Vietnam who need it most.
Being based in Ho Chi Minh City, our projects are typically located within a 150 kilometer radius of the city. We scout for small orphanages, shelters and the like.
We are convinced that sustainable impact requires local collaboration and trust, which is why all of our projects are locally owned, lead and run.
We only support and donate to projects, where we can build partnerships, ensure mutual accountability and where results can be verified.
Ongoing Projects
Ms. Thien’s Daycare Centre & Shelter
Ms. Thien is the caretaker of approximately 50 children and has turned her home in the Mekong Deltainto a daycare center and a shelter for children whom have no place to go during the day and sometimes even at night. This is a cause that MASD feels very passionate about and aspires to support in the long term to better the future of the children through healthcare, education, food, clean drinking water and safety.
Tu Tam Nhan Ai Social Protection Centre
Mr. Man opened Tu Tam Nhan Ai in 2005, a social protection centre, which includes an orphanage, a place for people with disabilities, the sick and the elderly. Today, Mr. Man and the many volunteers look after 180 vulnerable persons. Taking them in, providing a safe place to live, food and the support for an education for the many children hoping to create new opportunities and to break the poverty cycle.
Past Projects
Installation of Water Wells
After the big storms hit Central Vietnam in 2020, several provinces were cut off from water supply and other essential supplies. In Quang Tri Province, MASD contributed to the installation of water wells with our partners to provide clean drinking water.
Food Distribution in Hoi An
This project involves supporting families with food packages, whom are living in very poor circumstances, and are unable to provide for themselves. Many of these individuals who come to receive the food aid have some kind of disability – such as blindness or other handicaps.
